Disappointment and Change in Format
I've been disappointed with my blogging experience so far. Don't get me wrong - I love eating and I really love writing about eating. However, I'm not getting to post as much as I'd like. I've thought about this, and I think the reason why is because I feel pressure to write long, formal reviews of each restaurant I visit. I realize I'd rather write less about more restaurants/foods/eating experiences.
Thus, I've decided to change the format of this blog to more frequent, less formalized entries.
This may mean I write a few sentences or a few paragraphs per blog entry...I'm not sure how it will work out until I start doing it. For the most part, I will stop formally rating each restaurant, because I feel that a formal rating deserves a formal write-up.
I'd also like to move more in the direction of personalized entries, rather than strictly formal foodie entries. I won't be giving up my privacy anytime soon, but I've had a number of friends (Brunsli, among others) tell me that more personality in the blog would make it better.
We'll see how things turn out. Be sure to leave comments if you like/don't like something. I'm looking forward to continuing my eating adventures in and around the Bay Area!
